How To GuidesSales & follow-up
SALES & FOLLOW-UP / 5 MIN READ

Create and finish a follow-up task

Make ownership, timing and completion visible.

Follow the steps

01

Open Tasks

Tasks opens on Due today. Switch to All tasks, Overdue, Upcoming, or Completed when you need a different view, then choose Add task or open a related customer record.

02

Write an actionable title

Describe the next action, not just the topic. Add a due date and owner when appropriate.

03

Link the relationship

Associate the task with the relevant person or company where the app offers that option.

04

Complete or reschedule

When the work is done, mark it complete and decide whether the Schedule a follow-up prompt needs a new task. If it is not done, update the date or owner rather than leaving it ambiguous.

BEFORE YOU MOVE ON

Check the result

The task appears in the correct view and its status reflects what actually happened.

Worth knowing

A follow-up is not created until you confirm the prompt. Completion can also trigger enabled internal workflow rules; review your workspace automation.
